Anna B. Shepley Omori Papers, 1904- circa 1940.

A Minneapolis-born portrait painter, Anna Sheply married Hyoso Omori and moved to Tokyo where she established a fledgling settlement house, the Yurin En, in Yodobashi in 1910. The correspondence is mostly to Mrs. Oliver Edwin Williams and chart her introduction and gradual adjustment to Japanese life and her impression of Japanese customs.
